Eachine E160 Review – Impressive Brushless Tail Hold & Performance
Detailed Eachine E160 review including test flight with three different setups (tame, sport, 3D). The E160 is a great flying little collective pitch RC helicopter to suit all flying styles. It’s powerful enough for heart pounding 3D, or can be tamed right down for nice gentle scale type flying. Flybarless stabilization performance is impressive with a fluid and precise feel.
If you are torn between the XK K130 vs the Eachine E160, the E160 is not much more money, however, it’s a much better value as it improves on the shortcomings of the K130.
The single biggest performance improvement is in tail hold & authority thanks to a proper direct drive brushless tail rotor motor. It’s all but impossible to get the tail to blow out on the Eachine E160, even when trying. Brushless tail motors also last much longer than brushed coreless tail motors.
Other E160 improvements include a stronger and better cooled main brushless motor, longer flight times with slightly larger capacity LiPo & better power efficiency, metal geared swashplate servos & stronger landing struts. Some will find the E160’s canopy graphics easier to see which is always a welcome feature on any small micro collective pitch RC helicopter.
Out of the box, the Eachine E160 3D RC Helicopter is Futaba S-FHSS protocol ready, but provides receiver compatibility with Spektrum DSM, S-Bus, and PPM.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced, capable little collective pitch RC helicopter to fly & practice with in your yard, the E160 should definitely be on your short list of micro 3D collective pitch RC helicopters to check out.

Single Rotor Bladed E-Sky 900 Heli + Mild 3D STUNTS of Blade 400 & Hyperfly
*** Please read before Commenting*** Vaguely tried a long time ago before today’s vast technology, I have proven the Single Blade Rotor head concept to myself using today’s modern machines. Why not before? Well, people said the concept is so ridiculous they would never consider doing it on big helis or models, because it simply couldn’t work and would be a waste of time. Well, my past single blade rotor video experiments led me to this next step, a bigger, heavier helicopter. I used my E-Sky 900 for this next experiment and is not a waste of time to me. It is science, physics, and fun.
Theory: With one blade, there is not as much blade turbulence, thus it’s quite sufficient, uses less power, has longer run times, and is quieter in cruise.
My physics friends tell me that as long as the counter weight is on, there would be no extra stress on the bearings. Bearings get changed at regular maintenance intervals on helis, so this is no problem. If my bearings start wobbling, I will tell you and change them.
With today’s materials and technology, almost anything is possible.
CCPM helis are difficult for most folks to learn to be good on in the first place, let alone for novices to be able to experiment like this.
So for those “Armchair Pilots” with negative opinions, I suggest you make your own heli, learn to fly it good enough to experiment, then put one blade on it to prove it for yourself before making opinions that it won’t work, is unsafe or ridiculous.,etc, etc.
Bumble bees aren’t supposed to be able to fly on paper blueprints either (due to unusual design and balance), but they do….backwards even! So never say never.
The point is that lots of ideas may work if your not afraid to try them. That’s why I think a lot of our stuff is manufactured overseas, and not here is because people are always so skeptical here, afraid to get hurt, etc, etc.
My idea sounded ridiculous to everyone I told I was going to try it to, but after explaining the theory, and with visual proof, they are now believers.
Lot’s of people are afraid to try anything outside the box. But not me.
I have proven this concept to myself. Maybe it’s not good for big helis, but it’s sufficient for me as my helis do all I want or need them to do at my age.
I am sure that I have proven enough that at least small toys, models, and flying machines will become the next step to use the single blades on, as it proves stable, uses less power, and would be cheaper to make.
I like my setups so much, I am leaving my Hyperfly, Blade, and ES-900 just like they are now. It is way easier to fly, believe it or not and I have spare blades for all. Haha.

How to Completely Setup A CCPM Helicopter DX6i & OrangeRX

Hello everyone, I thought that I would make a video, that from start to finish, explains what you need to do in order to get a heli up in the air.
In this video, I started with my Dynam E-Razor 450 RTF with the FM radio. It’s just me, but I don’t like FM, but it was the only thing they had at the time when I purchased this heli. So, what better platform to test this on, right?
I started with taking the old Rx out of the heli, and plugging in all of the servos into the new Rx. In the video I also explain how to bind the DX6i, and how to setup all of the servos so that you get the proper pitch and throw out of the blades.
I also go through other setups like the throttle and pitch curves that I use, and D/R and Expo settings as well. In the end of the video, after all the other setup is done, I take it outside, and setup the gyro and tail. After just a few flights, this thing is rock solid. One thing that I overlooked, but noticed after shooting the video is the servo arm on the elevator servo. The ball is closer to teh center of the servo than the other two servos. This caused it to not have as much travel, and was the reason it wanted to pitch forward with the more throttle I gave it. This was just an oversite on my part, but has now been fixed.
I decided that instead of breaking this up into multiple videos, I would just to this in one video and call it done. I hope you enjoy it, and I look forward to hearing your comments.
