RC Helicopter Tail Pitch Link Assembly Modification

It is sometimes difficult to assemble tail pitch links that end up smooth. There are many factors that lead to tight pitch links. Maybe the screw is screwed in too tightly. Maybe excess Loctite on the screw wicks onto the pitch link. Maybe the bushing/spacer of the pitch link is not long enough. Whatever the reason, using this method I am presenting using a locknut and no Loctite gave me a very smooth sliding tail mechanism.

Makeshift digital pitch gauge

Here is my digital pitch gauge that I use for setting my pitch on my helicopters and my throws on my airplanes.

I used a heli max pitch gauge and a digital bevel box that I got of eBay. About 25 bucks total. Works great.

Soko Kit whats in the kit and leveling main shaft Part 1

This video shows the Soko Kit and first step leveling main shaft. Demonstrating using my Gaui X5. There is a link at end of video to Part 2. The Soko tool allows you to level the main shaft side to side and front to back making for a perfect starting point for setup. Then you can use the tool to level the swash without removing the head. Its a great tool to get the most precise setup needed for RC helicopters
