8 Year Old Justin Jee – Compass 6HV FBL – RC Heli Maiden Flight – 2010-11-19
Sorry for the poor camcorder aiming. Unfortunately, I can’t fire the cameraman.
This is 8 year old Justin Jee’s http://JustinJee.com first flight on Compass 6HV 600 sized electric heli. FBL system is BeastX MicroBeast set at default. The cold weather and the lack of proper lipo pack for this heli makes it harder to tune so we left that for later flights. This is our first pulley driven tail electric heli. The tail transmission is much like that of a Raptor 50. It is very quiet and smooth resembling a Logo 600.
To do list:
tune MicroBeast, increase the head speed to 2350-2400, use proper pack of 12s3250 45c TP packs, see if the plastic tail pulley will hold up under torture

First flight with m’y new setup!
Sorry for thé pour point of view… nobody to hold the camera!
-Heli: Quick Japan EP8 v2 EX (better than t-rex 500 but company is out of business)
-FBL upgrade: HK500 with ZYX S2 controller
-5000mah 6cells battery (twice as powerful as m’y original setup!)
-Transmitter: good Old Spektrum DX7 with single stick modification.

RTF Novus RC 125 FP Micro Heli, Maiden I'm Off On Throttle, But Hovers SOLID
Tube Driven Tail Rotor Improves Things, slightly larger than MSR, Solid Handling, just me rusty on the sticks. Yes it will fly in close quarters, but give it room on maidens. Came waaay too close landing near basket, careful. RTF Transmitter softens the controls for indoors less overcontrol, but takes longer to get out of trouble as well, go easy.

G-Blades 30 year old G-Ranger Rc Helicopter Project 2013 maiden flight.
30 years ago I used to fly for a company G-Blades. Dave George manufactured RC helicopter blades and upgrades and for a very short time, he made the G-Ranger hand crafted fiber glass fuselage. This was specifically made for the old Vintage kalt Cyclone Model Helicopter.
I found a seller on Ebay with an example for sale where the fuselage had never been touched in more than nearly 3 decades!
I believe this project has created the only flying example of this vintage RC Helicopter left existing on Earth today.
