Autonomous Helicopters Teach Themselves to Fly Stunts

Stanford personal computer researchers have created an synthetic intelligence technique that allows robotic helicopters to teach by themselves to fly difficult stunts by watching other helicopters carry out the identical maneuvers. The approach is recognized as “apprenticeship understanding.” The outcome is an autonomous helicopter than can fly dazzling stunts on its own. This pisses me of seeing that they’re all hving fun.?

This needs a lot of skills to maneuver this stuff in the air.?

  • thegreeensky:

wow! that was? amazing.. nice acrobats!

    nice one!?

Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.

A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior? / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.

Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have successfuly framed themselves as noble victims; it’s an effective way to push a social agenda.

    neat stuff :-)?

There was something similar to this in the racing game Forza. You would drive and the program would take how you did things then use your strengths and weaknesses to drive? the car in a race. Its not exactly the same as what the people at Stanford did, but about as close as I’ve seen firsthand.

What kind of learning? What are? the inputs? The ranges? Memory footprint? Is this done with HTMs?…. we’ve had computers controlling aircraft for years.

  • playaspec:

If? they would only open source their code….

I read their paper and also spent the last year learning to fly RC helicopters. 1) it’s EXEEDINGLY difficult to even FLY the flipping thing, 2) the computer learns it in 11 goes. Also – it can? only “clean up” what the human did – so cannot find the ‘perfect’ trick – only an improvement on what the human did. Awesome. This RC heli could hover upside down for as long as the electricity and petrol lasted. I would have passed out from concentration. 5 minute flights are the limit for me !

It copies and pastes the perimeters into its? program, and then cleans them up a bit.

Thank you… SOMEBODY else here watches movies. You made just about the same comment? I was about to make.

Hope you know that a Terminator can be made that knows how to kill you fast and without emotions.. Ponder this….I think this is? sky net right here beware…

Nice work. keep it up. mean? time come for social media marketing for esteembpo**com #LINK#

  • helianimal:

Yes that’s impressive. I was just replying your can see some sick 3d from a capable pilot?

  • SatiricalSatire:

It’s not that the stunts are? incredibly impressive themselves. The helicopters are doing them autonomously (ie no one is controlling them).

  • bormisha:

Want to join the project? If you can program realtime flight control software, then? perhaps you should apply for a post-graduate study. The procedures are published on the University websites.

  • helianimal:

Not? that impressive actually. Watch some other videos of top pilots.

  • helianimal:

They already are. They have paintball gun missions? with autonomous RC Helicopters.

  • bormisha:

    Incredible? stunts!

  • airbender0203:

Just an excuse to fly r/c helis! BRILLIANT! ? I’m SO jealous! I wish I had a grant to pay for mine!

  • jujututu:

one thing you guys failed to mention is your having a butt load? of FUNNN!!!!!
