if it´s the very first fly i tink is too much risk to go nitro too expensive an dangerous , they are more stable but ,? i just thin is too much in game
That Venture CP is quite similar to my Raptor 30 nitro heli. You’re right about flying a floating saw blade:- I run my Raptor’s headspeed at about 2000rpm, nice and precise, better gust response than a lower headspeed. I use a pair of JP carbon fibre blades-you don’t want to get? in the way of those things. Mind you, you don’t want to get in the way of wooden or fibreglass blades either!
@ ShadowRejects-that tank of gas will possibly give around 20 minutes flying time on a 30, 10-ish for a 50.

@bckillick WooooOO!! The instructor actually setup the heli.. but hes not the owner. He works at a local shop here in Calgary – very fortunate to have an instructor! its like learning to fly a floating saw blade. LMAO.. Insane-O . Go big or go home hey? WOW!!! what an awsome helicopter eh? the guys lucky hes getting lessons from the owner and not the manual…hands on is the best way, he probably learned a hell of a lot of stuff that day, kudos to? him for accepting this challenge. Agreed , I would have started smaller, but if hes getting a screemin’ deal on the heli, FRICKEN’ GO FOR IT DUDE!!! @djmedic2008 No yeah I am impressed I wouldnt have the? balls to fly after just an MSR. I was just a bit surprised with it being a nitro. On top of having to learn to fly a large scale (I assume CP) he is dealing with nitro for the first time. Its a just a big jump thats all…but I am impressed. I was too terrified to fly until I have racked up hours and hours on G4 and then like flown small FPs in and out. I wish I had the skill to jump 🙁
@bodybag101 ohhhhhhhhh? Wow. please educate us more if you can.. why the heck would they disallow digital? Because of certain settings that can be achieved? There must? be an advantage to 2.4 digital if they dis-allow them (other than safety of course)

IMO, I dont think I would setup an am/FM radio for a big beast like that.. I would assume that digital would have been a best bet for safety purposes.? But, im not an experienced heli pilot.. Maybe it was a budget thing.
