    @donmei no, it is a JR x9503, i bought the reciver ready version and it has worked out great. it is not that difficult to set up, you just need to be pacient and NOT get mad at it, use up a afternoon getting everything perfectly alinged ant make shure the servos are connected corectly. it will basicly be trial and error with where to connect what servo and the reverse swiches. be shure to unplug 2 of the motor wires aswell, so you dont get eaten by the blades.

    anyway, i say go for it! 🙂

    RCMotorsect,

    Thats great. It looks like you have a DX7 or some Spektrum Tx. Did you buy the receiver ready version? If so, was it difficult to set up?

    I have a DX7 and a DSM2 receiver and was thinking of picking up the receiver ready version for $137. It seems like a steal.

    Like you, I’ve been flying a MSR around and am ready to move outside. The more I read/watch, the more I realize what a great training helicopter the MSR is.

    @trexinvert
    i would have to agree with trexinvert your pretty good maybe speed up your forward flight with some sharp turns idk i think your ok at flight it but i have a question im looking to get that heli how does it hand and is it hard to trim
    and how long does the battery

    I just got the (red) version of this heli. From what I have heard this is the perfect heli to learn with. Replacement parts are relatively inexpensive even though they are metal. You flew pretty well for just starting. I hope my flights go this well 🙂
