In this video you get to finally HOVER your RC helicopter. The basics of vibrating flight are explicated and then demoed for you. The NEXT video will be more practice of the rudder control as well as hovering forward, backwards, and side to side. Please SUBSCRIBE so you see it as soon as it comes out. e-mail mikey@mikeysrc.com if you have and questions. This is part of a video series instructing you how to eventually wing afloat function 6 channel RC helicopters. The plan is to get down you out on a concentrical helicopter, instruct you the basics which are interrupted up into easygoing to larn and practice steps. Once these skills are (U) the hang you are at the ready to travel on to a 6 channel helicopter.
@SuperEminemBoy It just takes practice. It’s the last couple inches before touching down that are really important to make sure you bring it down slowly.
my father just gave me his cause he cant get it off the ground. itas a really cheap one from walgreens but still pretty cool. hope i can get it off the ground tomorrow
@pjerry72 … Simulator is well worth it … but you can get this for free : Google for “HeliSimRC” … it’s much better than the other oft quoted freebie – FMS. All you need then is a Tx with USB cable … which most, even the cheapo Chinese clone radios have. As to heli – I bought a clone 450 same as Mikeys, but actual SE V2 ( gyro is slung UNDER tail boom) for just over $200 RTF .. complete. Barebones version $25, radio system another $90, motor / ESC about $40, gyro $20… already over $170.
@pjerry72 … sad … and probably he wonders why his biz is going down. Trouble is like corner shops for that emergency carton of milk while main food list is via the supermarket, LHS literally are expected to survive on pickings, the repair bits and pieces, having NOT sold the main item – that having been bought cheaper online. I know this as I am as guilty of it as many others. We all want the LHS to be there, but economics makes us spend online. I wonder what real cost is long term ?
@hcoptertx … you have a problem … you ought to read what you typed before – then you will understand …
Anyway – it’s a common term “tail wagging” when gyro is not set right … but of course you probably have another term for that ? Cyclic Yaw ?? Mikey is providing good flight instruction regardless of your need to correct terminology. I value his effort and time to make and post the vids.
As to my character, not your affair and anyway – you must be just as bad to be on here watching!
@hcoptertx …. quote : ” Moving the tail side to side is not called wagging as mentioned. It is called “yaw”. The ” tail rotor” is not a rudder either. Its there to counteract torque of the main rotor. Adjusting the gyro as the copter is sliding to the side is a “roll” adjustment. ” …. not exactly Cyclic is it ? Adjust Gyro for side movement ? Gyro looks after yaw of the tail not cyclic roll !! I don’t need a b****** manual to explain what cyclic is …..
@hcoptertx … like others – thanks for the correction … but really not needed. The guy is providing good instruction to novices and people starting to look at RC choppers … proper terms can be learnt later …
Even so … i do not agree with your “roll adjustment” statement .. and I’m not a Heli-expert.
Nice to know there are experts out there … haha …
i tried getting into rc hellis and seen some stimulators online for 20bucks and some really nice starter helicopters for about 80-120bucks (4 channel) but people kept telling me to go to a local hobby shop… so i did as soon as i walk in there i tell him i have a 120-170 dollar budget, the idiot trys selling me a 200$ simulator with a 220$ helicopter that i seen online for less then a 100$… fuck supporting local hobby shops honestly
@hcoptertx Thanks wikipedia… I wonder what my life would be like if I didn’t read your useless comment. In fact, it took me away from about 5-10 seconds of the video wasted on you… shame on you, sir, shame on you.

@XxLebTechxX ? I’ve never heard of a 3.5 channel. Yes the number of channels usually will change how they fly.

@MikeysRC Thanks man! I’ll start practicing more since I’m a new beginner! 🙂

@FAIZCOOL2008 haha
@FAIZCOOL2008 same here, i destroyed our plant (:
@matt00harley ooo shit i wrecck in when i was trying to fly it in my home ooo shit
It’s normal to have like a .8 second delay on the tail rotor right? I mean from when you move the RC stick until the tail rotor starts moving.
