HeliPal.com – Walkera Genius CP Helicopter 3D Flight Testing

www.helipal.com Constructed from scratch, a model heli with world’s initial 6-Axis Gyro – Walkera Genius CP When we chat about Walkera, they created outstanding micro dimension helicopters, they have a tendency to scale down the Large helis into Micro helis, for this we see the up side, that the construction is following the exceptional style and design from the significant versions, but occasionally the factory personnel just cannot preserve up with the micro craftsmanship, so you might get inconsistent components and overall performance. Some times back, other factory produced a palm dimension Collective Pitch 3D Helicopter produced with super light plastic body, although that appear a little bit flimsy, but it was amazing! Walkera noticed this and comply with the exact same foot phase, they adapted several years of expertise in the filed of micro helicopter in producing this new Genius CP, the design is totally diverse sort the old Walkera designs, we would say it appears a toy heli, but it actually performs better than other models, it flies 3D aerobatic extremely nicely! The very best part is the elastic and super light excess weight physique, despite the fact that everything on the heli is plastic, but hey, it is super long lasting! We also recognize the Cyclic Servos, the Main Motor and Tail Motor, Thick Tooth Major Gear, the six-Axis Gyro, the Devo 6 Transmitter and even the wires are new 1 that we have by no means observed before on other Walkera helis, it seems just like a 9 Eagles or Eflite helicopter! We would recommend that you overlook about it’s a Walkera, simply because it does not act like one inside of out, the Genius CP will give you a

Yeah, they are good for entry-level 3D training, but they are incredible agile and fast because of their size. As such you’re likely to crash a lot. The tail motor system also isn’t the best when it comes to 3D.

It’s probably much easier to fly 3D with a bigger size? helicopter, but you’ll always crash at some point when just getting into 3D.

It’s mostly very durable because it’s lightweight, but not because it’s incredibly strong, so don’t be fooled too much there. 🙂

I have a T-Rex 450 that I can fly around and nose-in with but no 3D yet. Do you think this heli would be? good to learn 3D with since it seems a little more forgiving in crashes. If I crash the T-Rex it is a DEFINITE trip to the hobby shop for replacement parts. I can fly 3D pretty good on a sim but we all know that means NOTHING in the real world 🙂

The Devo 8 radio itself costs US$210.

The separate helicopter costs US$159.99 and you get to choose whether you want one with the new Devo receivers or one with the old Walkera receivers if you already have an old generation radio.

For a novice I’d say this helicopter can be a challenge in 3-axis CP (and 3D) mode.? It’s small and agile and not extremely stable. But it’s a lot of fun and very durable. Also has a 6-axis mode for almost fixed pitch / co-axial behavior.

We all know that you are paying for the RADIO, not the Heli. BUT, it does look like a great radio and I’d love to have one. Does it work as well as it looks and what are they going for individually? I would imagine that if this heli is $340, then the radio costs at least $300 by itself?
Also,? is this heli “Flippy” and “Pitchy”… for lack of better terms. It’s so small it seems hard for a novice like me to keep up???

  • PHeMoX:

The Devo 6? radio he is using has a slightly brighter screen though. But my Devo 8 screen looks great, especially with fresh batteries and at 10/10 brightness.

The video of the screen showing a weaker image is comparable to screen brightness at 1/10 brightness indoors.

It’s not flawless outdoors in sunlight, but you can see more than some of the worst-case videos might suggest.

  • PHeMoX:

True, but you get? a great 8ch radio with that deal there. I’ve just received my Devo 8 radio and it’s pretty awesome actually.

  • CrashNburnRC:

    OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! $340.00 For this? thing….WTF!

  • jedan001:

    nice? video

  • robertlam18:

    Good Heli?

  • tajvan:

Now we can? see, that the screen is not that bad what people say! Thank you for this video.
