@carlosthecactus As you know rc heli’s get very expensive and require lots of practice just to do basic moves. It’s not for everyone. At the core, it’s all about the hovering in a small space, and absolute control like a hummingbird. Fixed wing is all about speed, beauty and soaring like an eagle. I actually see a lot of heli pilots who are always trying to fly like an airplane. They will eventually go to planes, I’m sure.
@trexinvert Hi, yes I did sort out and FPV setup but I stuck it on my fixed wing Easystar instead. I haven’t had much luck flying helis since I posted that link. First of all I landed my BeltCP nose first while trying to fly in winds without using idle up, I then bought a new BeltCP to replace it but it has always had bad vibration problems and I have not had time to sort it out yet. Oh well, I will get back to heli flying one day.
@carlosthecactus Did you follow up with FPV? FPV is neat and cool if you want to explore, but if you want to progress your heli skills stay non-FPV. You cannot fly feasibly fly in all orientations. Backwards, sideways, inverted+ backwords…etc. FPV is not meant to be a a ‘training wheel” for flying. Keep simmin you’ll get it!
Is flying with FPV easier then flying without. I mean, when you turn left when you are flying with FPV the heli allways turns left in point of view.
But when you fly without FPV and you turn left and if the front of the heli is pointing at you. The heli turns right in your point of veiw. Hope you understand what i´m meaning.
Can flying FPV be compared with flying heli in a PC game, like Battlefield 2? But with Tx.
Can I ask what FPV kit you are using? I really fancy a go at this myself on my belt-cp this summer.
Your reply to HeliEye matches how I expect t find FPV. My biggest problem with flying the heli is orientation, especially with a small(ish) heli like the belt-cp. When I am high up and at a reasonable distance it is quite easy to be way off level, certainly in the roll axis, and not realise till you get much lower.
Awsome idea where you put the camera! Also how did you get rid of vibrations?

Nice altitude. Love that scenery!

Hi, I am using a 900Mhz TX and a CCD camera from range video.
Very nice video! 😀
