Eagle Pro’s landing pad for remote controlled helicopters is a nice addition to my husband’s collection. The main landing platform measures 8.5″ x 8.5″ including the 4 side panels which is big enough for helicopters up to 25″ long. To make the helipad more stable on uneven surface, they included 4 legs about an inch tall each. It also comes with 2 sets of stickers (1 is a traditional blue and yellow H and 1 is a red medical H. My husband had fun putting the decals on and likes that he can personalize his helipad. He placed 1 sticker slightly off-balanced and it ripped when he tried to reposition it. Fortunately, he was able to use another one from the other set.
The feature that made the helipad more realistic is the 4 LED lights that are built in the main platform which are powered by a single 9 volt battery (not included) stored in a black box under the helipad, out of the pilot’s way. Flying with our lights dimmed made it more exciting with only the LED lights as a guide. The best part is that 4 or more landing pads can be attached together to make a vertiport! Perfect for our Syma S107 and Syma S111G.
Though this does not come with instructions, it was pretty obvious what item goes where.
