If you want a bottom check out Nightflyyer, it is supposed to be spelled with 2 y’s

    @BeanMeister22 Marine Corps?

  • BeanMeister22:

@matty6032 In real life I have flown in Sea Knights many times, so I do like them much better than Chinooks.

  • BeanMeister22:

@matty6032 So do I, but you cannot find it anymore. I found one on Ebay for $799.00; not bad for a helicopter that cost $169 brand new.

  • matty6032:

i like the walkera sea knight chinook better

@VAND4LL I checked it out, it is pretty cool.

  • BeanMeister22:

@RZEEJOKERRS1000 A bit like a sub:) I’m looking around on my computer to find the video I have of real Chinooks (really SeaKnights) and CH-53 Super Stallions taking off from an open field in Japan.

  • BeanMeister22:

@anmoose Yes it is a pretty cool toy, and I agree with you about how bad the open bottom looks. But I did a bit of research on the topic, and I found that the bottom has to stay open to cool the 4 electric motors and the battery. They all put off a lot of heat, and they need the large volume of air flow to keep them from over heating, and possibly catching fire. Maybe I will try covering it with a dark colored mesh, hopefully that will not restrict the air flow very much.

Cool helicopter dude, I need to get me one of these.

  • anmoose:

Looks like a nice flyer, and it has some size to it, too. But for that kind of bucks, they wouldn’t die putting a bottom on it, both for aesthetics (after all, you’re ALWAYS looking up at it), and to hold the silly battery in. That’s a bit cheesey.

  • RZEEJOKERRS1000:

    nice …
lol it looks like a flying sub marine lol

  • VAND4LL:

@BeanMeister22 You are the man!!!! If you want the see the one i have there is a video of it, the title of the video is (3 CH 9072 Tandem Chinook) someone flying it in side a gym.

  • BeanMeister22:

@VAND4LL I do have something special on the way, and it was even harder to get than this one. As soon as I get it, I will post a review of it, and we will all see how really cool it is:)

  • BeanMeister22:

@JoeFielding72 Thanks Joe, you do know that I am running a contest where you could try to win a Mad Hawk 300 helicopter, or a couple of the Syma S022 Chinooks like the one you had. The contest ends Aug 20.

  • BeanMeister22:

@Legostuff74 Thanks, and yes Walkera helicopters are delicate, but really they all are. The good thing about Walkera, is that they are higher quality versions of Exceed helicopters. So far the most durable helicopter I have found in the Syma S022 Ch-47 Chinook. It is very sturdy, and costs under $50. In the last few months, I have bought more than 30 RC helicopters, and I have learned that if you want to fly them, you had better learn to repair them.

  • Legostuff74:

Cool, the only thing with walkera’s (as you mentioned) aren’t very durable. I’ve had 2 smaller walkera’s, and pieces broke constantly. They make replacement parts for most heli’s, enough to build another one. Some pieces aren’t replaceable though. Pretty much all Walkera helicopters are pretty delicate. Happy flying!

  • JoeFielding72:

That is a neat helicopter. Wow thats not good. But to fix it was good. I wish I could have fixed mine. This video rocks. God bless you and your family.
