I've never understood the whole 3D helicopter thing. There is obvious skill involved. But even the most impressive demonstration just looks like a dragonfly on crank. I guess it made sense before quadcopters were common. But if you want quick response and aerobatics, nothing beats 4 brushless motors and a finely-tuned flight controller.
