RC Helicopter Flight School Lesson 7

www.iheartheli.com The skill for this lesson is simply flying up higher than before. For theory I talk about subconscious training and warn about tripping if walking when flying. I appreciate comments, questions, and suggestions so by all means leave a note. The web site has a nice review of all lessons. Don’t forget, there is a forum at the website you can use to interact with me and others who are learning.

Visit www.fold3d.com for paper aircraft. Picked one of these Syma S105 Micro Helicopters for my son as a stocking filler for Christmas and it turned out to be much better value for money than I expected. This model really flys great. It looks the part too. We’ve made some minor mods to it and it flys even better. I will post a video on the mods soon. In any case I hope you enjoy this video. I actually paid AUD for this helicopter but you can buy them pretty cheap through ebay. Last I looked you could get them for around USD about AUD.

  • NightFlyyer:

    Great Job. And thanks for mentioning my comments about keeping the tail higher than the heli body in a turn.

    Many people will benefit from your instructional videos. 5 stars.

    @erikatvdriver

    no that is only the stabilizer, the gyro is just under that.

    @ilsrwy27

    Ive noticed the battery staying charged longer if charged on the USB and fly time is roughly 4-6 minutes with about 7-10 minutes of charging on the USB.

    When i have my S105 and i flip the switch to on, the flashing lights dont come up and i cant start it up, any ideas what happend?

  • rcflight13:

    @YogiBearIsMyFriend I think mine’s bust, it takes over 40 minuets to fully charge.

  • YogiBearIsMyFriend:

    @rcflight13 Yes it works great and charges it much faster than the controller would

  • YogiBearIsMyFriend:

    @erikatvdriver No man the gyro is a little micro chip on the heli’s mother board. The weights on the top are on the flight bar which also helps a great deal to stablize the heli. So ur not completely wrong it is more of a “mechanical” aspect of the gyro system so to speak. If I where u i would pick up the syma s107 with the gyro overall its a super fun little heli to just fuck around with, with the buds lol

  • YogiBearIsMyFriend:

    @ilsrwy27 I have the Syma s107 it is a much better heli with the gyro to stabalize it u can usually count on about 8 minutes of unrestricted flight and BMSWEB ur kind of wrong about flight time because if u land and take off that runs out the battery even more so to get the most life out of ur battery ur better off with constant flight. Also I have found that a lot of the syma indoor heli’s have trouble with the infared after flying for about 6 minutes because the battery is low.

  • ass23ful:

    @raf4jack they have differnent packageing different bodys and 107 has gyro

  • erikatvdriver:

    @BMSWEB im not sure but isnt the weights on the shaft at the top suppose to be the gyro?

  • csufboi:

    I love this thing! Got mine off amazon from the seller Palmbotz.

    They included free batteries!!!!

  • jera2020:

    @raf4jack simple, the canopy is different.

  • raf4jack:

    @BMSWEB thanks

  • BMSWEB:

    @raf4jack You can only tell by the packaging. The only difference is the 107 has the Gyro which will stabilize the model for you

  • raf4jack:

    how can u tell the difference between the 105 model and the 107

  • MikeReedKS:

    Check out the Double Horse 9098 Helicopter. Less than $30. Most controllable heli to date. Even nicer than the S105!

  • spartin1537:

    dose it have LEDs like the s109 and a gyroscope like s109

  • rcflight13:

    That USB charger is going to save me a fortune on AA batteries. Before I get excited, does it actually work?

  • tuca999:

    …i also fly this model and its really brillant..i found out inside is a li-po battery with 3.7 volts and 130mAh… i found on ebay a li-po with 3.7 volts and 400 mAh..i would like to modify… has someone made any experience with a more powerful battery??

  • Dark24001:

    @BMSWEB i always charged it with pc… Changed my mind… wont buy the s107 i’ll just buy the hero black hawk… lol
