Huge Turbine Powered RC Helicopter at Turbine Jet meeting in Feurs, France 2013
Turbine Powered RC Helicopter at Turbine Jet meeting at Aéromodèle Club Forézien at Aéroport de Feurs-Chambéon, Feurs, France 2013.
As you can see there are two pilots. One pilots the helicopter and the co-pilot controls the accessories (guns etc.)
Notice how little noise comes from the blades…
Indoor flight can be seen here: http://youtu.be/r6sgOQjdWts
What's up with those Capri pants?? Lol
Nice chopper. Well done.
No loop?
cool
As others have stated on here. This is NOT a beginner heli by any stretch of the word. These men are pilots pure and simple who have years of experience. That yes may have started out with smaller hobby helis like walkeras and Symas but are now flying the "big boys". These rotors can kill and if you noticed they don't dare touch them until they are nearly to a full stop. On top of that your dealing with a jet turbine engine which is HIGHLY flammable and combustible. But most importantly takes experience knowing how to deal with a powerful engine like that. These pieces of machinery are thousands upon thousands of dollars. They command respect, knowledge, experience, and full attention when operating them. Excellent flight by these RC pilots.
How do I buy one of those?
awesome, my father was a pilot in the movie. great job! brings back memories

Sounds pretty noisy to me.
Do I need any special pilot licence or any permission to fly something a little bigger in the UK. In a large private land?
