Blade SR 2nd hover

Just pulled my new Blade SR out of the box, billed the battery and attempted a hover. It was effective adequate for me to go and get the camera. Here is the 2nd and third hovers. Yep 6 minutes of a RC helicopter not undertaking much at all and some beginner commentary. At least 1 of the items it’s not undertaking is crashing. There’s also the additional bonus of Go West playing in the background. I only hover to the strike 80’s tunes of Go West.

Those things are purely for asthetics anyways. I mean what could they possibly do in either position? Good flying especially? for Your 2nd time out.

  • Skammy5:

Um, I believe the horizontal stabilizer is for forward flight stabilization and to be fair, I’ve seen plenty of guys attach their? trainers like that.

That is really for? decoration only. It flies the same with it on, off, or sideways!

  • rednexRC:

the correct orientation of? the stab as it isn’t mentioned, in words, anywhere in the manual hence after reading the manual thoroughly I was none the wiser. Better advice would be to carefully examine the images in the manual as the stab is shown in the correct orientation in those. The training gear came pre assembled and is fitted as such, ie. the rods are straight so it’s not possible to adjust them to have the skids off the ground.

Yet another YouTube video? showing the? Blade SR with the HORIZONTAL STABILIZER in the VERTICAL position.? It’s like almost every single video now- Nice hovering & all, but read the manual. That little wing on the boom, scoot it around to the horizontal position. It’s like people get the Heli & can’t wait to crash it, so they never read the manual. I guess there’s time to read the manual while waiting for the parts to come in 🙂 Also your training gear is wrong. Skids shouldn’t touch the ground!

  • seanys:

I haven’t spent much time with it so far as I haven’t been able to find a 2nd battery? for it.

  • seanys:

it’s not my first heli. I’ve done the whole progression thing from CX2 to mSR to SR and spent a bit of time on? the simulator (G4).

  • AusSonic:
