Awesome heli, ive had one for a while. If you guys are new I have a few Tutorials…. Check them out if you want to learn how to connect everything, and how to fly/trim correctly, without spinouts.
My friend bought the Novus coaxial heli and has nothing but problems with it. Out of the box it would “toilet bowl” when trying to hover. After a crash the flybar disconnects and flings away somewhere and bends easily cause its a thin wire. Maybe he got a defective heli, but I think my MCX was a better buy. Anybody else have problems with their Novus?
no not RTF right out of the box you still have to trim it and set up the extent
yup
The Orange CP is hella fun to fly. i yet to put it inverted due to lack of parts at my local hobby shop.
Got mine. And I can say they are more sturdy then they seem like they would be. I’ve had a few oh man moments and haven’t broken anything. I’ve ran 5 packs and am getting better. Having a little bit of a tough time since I live in a small house and only have a 8x10ft room so not a lot of room for mistakes.
@c2s – It’s a good idea to let it rest after every couple batteries (for heat dissapation). Just a couple minutes should be fine. As for LiPo tips, only use approved chargers, don’t charge immediately after a run (let it set and cool for a minute or two on a hard surface, and you’ll get good life out of your packs. Room temperature before charging and don’t run them down below cutoff. Once the heli fades to the ground or cuts off, STOP. Pull, let cool (if warm), recharge. Thats it!
Can I run as many batteries as I have one after the other or should there have to be a cool down period for the heli?
I want to say thanks for the review I just ordered one and can’t wait. Any tips for getting the most longevity from the li-po? I’ve only ever had ni-cad in RC trucks and cars.
very nice !
