E-Sky Lama V4 RC helicopter

Trying out this very inexpensive 4ch coaxial in a small room with a lot of turbulence. I’ll put a review up soon at www.UltimateRC.com

i have the lama v3, which is cheaper and has a different bodyshell. the v4 looks great!

  • leebethell:

Perfect little heli to get you addicted to the hobby!!!!

  • illfaint:

my propeler broke on first run and then my landing thingy broke tommorow

  • jonas2789:

i had never flown any helicopter before and lama V4 is being a lil bit difficult for me, i think my heli is a lil bit unstable, it vibrates very much before takeoff

  • tifosiman68:

im a noob too i spend more time flying than chasing it, plus it comes w/ a simulator witch makes your first flight a success.

  • tifosiman68:

lama is easy to fly my roomie has a cx2 he has to chase it and has replaced blades already lol.

  • nibbler125:

i got a lama mostly because it has faster forward speed than the cx ill get one tho when i save up the money.

  • thejang:

Overall, the CX2. Better radio & electronics. For the money? Lama, at roughly half the price.

  • chickenlampproductio:

whats the better overall heli? the blade cx2 or the lama?

  • thejang:

Sorry I accidentally deleted your second reply, but to answer the question you had written, yes 4ch helis can 1) strafe left-right, 2) in addition to going up/down, 3) turning left-right, and 4) pitching forward/reverse — 4 axes, 4 channels 🙂

  • zatoone78:

I think I have to watch the video again because I don’t remember seeing much speed gained.

  • thejang:

Yes. Did you see the video? It flies in all directions.

  • zatoone78:

Isn’t this a 4 channel heli? I thought 4 channel means you can tilt the nose forward/back to gain speed.

  • fishypaw:

as far as i know, blade cp is a 6 channel heli and definitely not for beginners. i am a rc heli noob but have done a lot of research recently and i am going to buy myself a lama v4 (4ch heli) which will be a challenge but many many hours of fun 🙂 i have also been advised that this is the easist to learn with.

  • yeah0008:

    the walkera got bad electronics..

  • fraseyboy1:

Well easy is probably good… But I do want a bit of a challenge. I am wanting to get into the RC Copter hobby, and I think a mini battery-powered copter could be a good start and a way to see if this hobby is right for me.

  • thejang:

This will be the easiest to fly, by far. You can’t beat the stability and self-correcting nature of a coaxial helicopter. A closer comparison would be the Blade CX2, which is slightly more stable and maneuverable, but unfortunately costs more than twice as much.

  • fraseyboy1:

Interesting… I am currently deciding between buying this, Walkera Dragonfly 4 or the Blade CP. You have any idea which is best?

  • j3pointers:

you should try them out door, it’ll be fun!4 STARS!

  • nhn1994:

yeah i recommend this better… other blade series is good but if i was going to buy blade i rather buy the honey bee king
