Planes Featured:
1. E-flite Apprentice STS 1.5m (https://www.horizonhobby.com/search?q=apprentice+sts+1.5m). The E-flite® Apprentice® STS 1.5m is based on one of the very best platforms ever designed for learning to fly radio controlled (RC) airplanes—the legendary Apprentice S 15e. That model’s large size made it an ideal choice for better visibility and the ability to handle more wind while learning to fly at an RC club flying field, and its inherently stable design plus exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology made it easy to fly successfully—especially with the help of an instructor. The Apprentice STS 1.5m is a modern-day evolution of the world’s favorite club trainer that includes all the same great features while adding Smart components including an ESC, battery and charger (battery and charger sold separately for the BNF® Basic version), along with the option to add SAFE Plus® GPS-enabled technology and the all-new Landing Assist Sensor (LAS), to make learning to fly easier—and more fun—than ever before!

2. HobbyZone AeroScout S 1.1m (https://www.horizonhobby.com/search?q=HBZ_AeroSS). The HobbyZone® AeroScout™ S makes learning to fly an RC (radio controlled) airplane easier and more fun than ever before! It’s the perfect trainer because it’s very durable and is equipped with exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology that helps to prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation and crashes so nearly everyone can learn to fly successfully. It also features Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced flight modes so you can choose the level of stability and control you need at the flip of a switch.

Love the videos always coming out of HH! Y’all always highlight the best features of each plane even though I’m at intermediate pilot I enjoy watching the videos and learning more about the new planes. The Aero Scout is it awesome Trainer as well as a intermediate RC airplane. Thanks Kyle for interesting and informative videos!
Thanks HH for Amazing Aircraft for us to Fly!

  • Schrodinger's Dog Jack:

As someone who is new to the hobby, we are likely hearing a lot of new and unfamiliar terminology and acronyms, RTF, BNF, PNP, AS3X… WTF?… Do you have a video that walks (or flies) us Newbs through the fog of all that is clouding up our taking off in Aero RCing? (ok, enough puns) This would be a big help for us to understand what a lot of the videos are referencing. And a big thank you, in advance! I've been wanting to get into the hobby for years and I recently bought (and crashed) the Aero Scout 2 S, twice on the first day. I just got my replacement props in the mail and I'm waiting for the replacement servo to implant back into the wing. Thanks again! Great videos!

    pfft Mini appprentice rocks 🙂

  • Kameron Ouellet:

I bought an apprentice a while back and sadly I crashed on the third flight. went over some trees and I lost sight. after a couple years I was riding my ATV out in the woods and I decided to stop and sit back for a bit to enjoy the nature. I look up and low and behold, there it is, up in a tree. it was weird because it was so big that i thought it was real ?

  • Storm Tuber:

  • Ward Van Aerde:

Well i know im pretty late to comment but:
I am looking to try an rc plane but i dont really have a place where im 100% sure i can fly it according to place (space) and laws, i dont really know how much space you need for this kinda stuff. Is a football/soccer field big enough?

And how much do these 2 planes cost? (With the starter set with everything included)

  • Mark B:

    That neck beard is distracting

  • WichitaGuy56:

Seriously, noise might be an issue with the pusher plane? It is an electric airplane. It just goes Whooosh! How freakin' loud can that prop wash be?
