RC Helicopter Flight School Lesson 7

www.iheartheli.com The skill for this lesson is simply flying up higher than before. For theory I talk about subconscious training and warn about tripping if walking when flying. I appreciate comments, questions, and suggestions so by all means leave a note. The web site has a nice review of all lessons. Don’t forget, there is a forum at the website you can use to interact with me and others who are learning.

Visit www.fold3d.com for paper aircraft. Picked one of these Syma S105 Micro Helicopters for my son as a stocking filler for Christmas and it turned out to be much better value for money than I expected. This model really flys great. It looks the part too. We’ve made some minor mods to it and it flys even better. I will post a video on the mods soon. In any case I hope you enjoy this video. I actually paid AUD for this helicopter but you can buy them pretty cheap through ebay. Last I looked you could get them for around USD about AUD.

RC Helicopter Flight School Lesson 8

www.iheartheli.com This time we are going to add pirouettes at about 12ft. The important thing to remember is to turn slowly. I know it looks cool to do it fast, but it is all too easy to over-rotate and not be prepared for a sudden banked side in or something, so please do them slowly so you will come out at exactly the 360 degree mark each time. The important thing going into this skill is to have the heli perfectly balanced. By this I mean you have adjusted the trim whilst flying so that the heli hovers very nicely with no stick input. Do your best to get it trimmed up so that it does not drift off left, right, forward or back for at least a second or two. That way, you stand a good chance of coming out of the 360 without much banking. I appreciate comments, questions, and suggestions so by all means leave a note. The web site has a nice review of all lessons. Don’t forget, there is a forum at the website you can use to interact with me and others who are learning.

RC Helicopter Flight School Lesson 6

www.iheartheli.com The skill for this leeson is Lazy 8s, for theory I talk about controlling the pitch during flight and the importance of keeping the tail above the body of the helicopter. I appreciate comments, questions, and suggestions so by all means leave a note. The web site has a nice review of all lessons.

Many of you saw me crash this Blue Ray Helicopter a few months ago doing a roll too low. Now repaired, I test fly it, then take it to the Sibley Pond to try my hand at Helicopter Fishing again. The (Perch, Sunfish, rock cod Blue Gill) here bite on just about anything at any time, so I hoped to catch something on the first battery. Here you will see what happens in this un-cut attempt to catch another fish just like last year. Bait: Grubs. The Blue Ray helicopter is available from xheli.com and here is the link www.dpbolvw.net For the HELMET comments you all make, I respond. My bike is a ’95 Honda Goldwing. It weights 800 lbs and 1000 with me on it. There are NO helmet laws in IOWA and I chose to not wear it for this 1/2 mile ride. I usually wear a helmet, cause Im a goldwing guy with intercom and like the comfort when it is cold. But for a few blocks with no trucks or traffic, I chose not to were it to make this video, because I dont have to in Iowa. I am a member of the 1 million mile MOTORCYCLE club. This is my 3rd Goldwing and my 22nd motorcycle. Not to worry about crashing, as I am very cautious AND there is no real traffic here, like California (where I put all those miles on mostly) I don’t crash my helicopters much either, unless I do something stupid, and I have learned not to do those stupid things on bikes or Helcopters over the years too. I have been riding for over 50 years now, with no crashes and even have a trike kit for this 6 cylinder Honda. Thanks for

RC Helicopter Flight School Lesson 1 part 2

www.iheartheli.com Why does the helicopter want to slide to the left? Why does it lean to the right when in a perfect hover? Here’s the link to Madeline Adam’s great music site! http

here is the first lesson that should help you learn to fly your rc heli , it is dependant on you having already mastered the “hover” its split into 3 exercises Exercise1 – follow the dog -take your heli for a long walk ,use the whole battery, this will get you used to using forward stick ,find a nice big field and take a longer walk than i did in the video. Exercise2 – get some altitude – send the heli straight up ,you can get 10-20-30 feet , stay up there ,then bring it down ,one point to remember is that to level off into a hover from a decent will need more throttle than you might expect Exercise3 – this is where you will tie the first 2 exercises together ,to be able to send the heli away and then bring it back “tail in” ,you will need this skill ,as its a safety precaution so that when you start to do proper manouvers you can always abort whatever you were trying to do and bring it back to land safely. the next few lessons will show how to build up to being able to do a “figure of 8” please subscribe rate and comment
