U.S. Air Force Spy Drone • Wingspan Greater Than Boeing 757
The U.S. Air Force RQ-4B Global Hawk has a wingspan of 130.9 ft (39.9 m), which is longer than the wingspan of a Boeing 757 at 124.6 ft (38 m). RQ-4B is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) surveillance aircraft and is arguably the largest military UAV flying regular missions as of 2015. It is powered by a single Rolls-Royce F137-RR-100 turbofan engine with a cruising speed of 357 mph, maximum range of 14,154 mi, and maximum altitude of 60,000 ft. The Global Hawk performs a similar role as the Lockheed U-2 and by using high-resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR), long-range electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors, as well as long loiter times over target areas – it can survey as much as 40,000 square miles of terrain a day. Whenever I see a US drone, I imagine Obama sitting on top of it.?
Start real time loc, collecting wave heights. Over time w/super computer modeling u should b able to come w/n 2 or 3ft. Then r ships & shipping can take the smoothest routes. Early wave studies can lead to predictions & understanding of big storms. When bad storms start breaking out side of the modeling, real time data ills n the holes. If search & rescue is needed it is w/greatly reduced areas & notices to nearest ships can b pin pointed. The older models can definitely take on this mission.?
Look at that the air force already has a strategic long rang bomber w/or w/out ppl n the loop. NOW it can't carry a lot, but it can do 2 things at once, & b pre positioned all around the globe n the air & based. Not what they want but 10 more of these does the job nicely. Each carrying x #s of cruise missiles or big heavy bombs. Far cheaper than what they want & lets the other legacy planes fill n a another 5-10 yrs(till new tech comes on line hyper black tech).?
