Mini quads have become the latest must have item of the quadcopter world. The frame is made of carbon fiber so it’s extremely light and durable. Because of the light frame this quadcopter is extremely fast and agile. The battery strap is integrated into the top plate so it will keep it secure for high G maneuvering. The quadcopter will come with an insulated plate to mount your favorite miniature camera to the front of the unit. The ready to fly version comes with everything you need. It is pre-programmed. Install the propellers and you’re ready to fly this awesome machine.

The quadcopter is controlled by the CC3D flight controller. This exceptional flight controller was developed by the OpenPilot community. This CC3D was produced in close collaboration with OpenPilot and is manufactured with the best components and at a reputable, commercial grade ‘pick and place’ facility. The CC3D provides a crisp feel when flying tricopters, quads, hexas, octocopters, and even fixed wing planes. The Ground Control Software (“GCS”) provides an easy way to program the board via a USB connection (USB cable not included).

To record video there is a MicroSD/MicroSDHC memory card slot below the “tail” section that is activated using a button just to the side of the card slot. Finally, a 3.7V, 380 mAh lithium-polymer battery tucks away inside the body providing up to 7 minutes flying time. With the help of a 6 axis onboard gyro allows this quad is stable and easy to fly.

The transmitter is precise and responsive giving the pilot ultimate control of the craft. It required 4 AAA batteries that are not included.

Hubsan X4 quadcopter mini-review

Q: Why haven’t I made new videos since 2013?
A: My local RC track facility was forced to move a long ways away. Meanwhile, nearly every open space in my heavily populated area (San Francisco, California region) is *explicitly* off-limits to RCs and regularly patrolled by rangers and/or police and I’ve been booted once too many times. I’ve got no good place to legally drive & film within a reasonable distance 🙁

Q: Is there a video of/about _______?
A: Check by visiting my main channel page; hit the channel-specific search box and enter a relevant keyword (fewer the better)

Q: Why did I disable comments on existing videos on this channel?
A: You know, *most* RC hobbyists are cool folks. YouTube though, harbors an extraordinarily large population of the most vitriolic, extremist, hyper-fanboys who make it their life’s purpose for weeks at a time to develop and then spread the most ridiculous fabricated stories to try to tear down a guy who happened upon a little success & popularity as a result of working hard & sharing something he loves to do. I don’t have time for that mess; I’d rather focus on all the good stuff in life.
