Thinking of buying your first electric helicopter or ready to upgrade to a more advance model? This book will answer all of your question, provide some guidance on the various choices and allow you to select the helicopter that is right for you. I enjoyed the technical details of helicopter flight and controls and the pictures and diagrams that made it all clear. The section on transmitters helps you understand the vast number of options and how each setting varies the way your helicopter will respond to your inputs. Before investing a large amount of money in a machine that may not fit your skills, read this book.

This book was easy to understand and includes illustrations for more technical topics. I would recommend buying this to supplement your online learning. It will get you through building and setting up your first 450 or larger sized Heli and learning the basics of flying it. The only thing it was missing was a description on setting up the pitch and throttle curves.

I initially gave a negative review to this seller because my heli parts didn’t arrive and I thought the order was not completed. I FINALLY received the parts today(about 3 weeks after estimated delivery window) from Hong Kong post and the parts are excellent. The seller didn’t respond to my email about the initial order but DID acurately depict the product and delivered as advertised. Just be aware that if you order these particular parts, they’re coming from Hong Kong and will probably take several weeks longer than estimated to arrive.

I spent time looking through all the “spare parts” kits available and finally settled on this one – it was more expensive than most others, but it appeared to include certain pieces that the others didn’t – some of the plastic pieces, as well as spare screws! Well, it didn’t. So I wasted $9 and did not even get the parts I needed to fix my helicopter. I assumed since Amazon “backs” this seller, that this type of thing would not be going on, but evidently it is. I see there is another review that gives it two stars but says the same thing I do. I wish I could give it zero stars, because it is not the item as pictured! Shame on you!
