Rc-Help.com Flight School Part 11 First Hover

rc-support.com You have gotten to exactly where you can increase and reduce the throttle and preserve the tail pointed toward you. You can move the tail left and appropriate and make it cease exactly where you want it to halt. Great! Now it is time to get your helicopter into the air for the very first time. Established your helicopter on the box with the X and spool it up like you did in the very first physical exercise, keeping the tail pointing towards you. This time elevate the throttle right up until the helicopter starts to raise off the ground. Once you see it’s obtaining gentle on the skids, you will notice it will want to scoot to the still left. This is all-natural for any helicopter that has a clockwise rotating blade. Because of the rotation of the blade, the body of the helicopter wants to rotate counterclockwise. To halt this motion, the tail rotor forces air out to the appropriate, pushing the tail to the still left and countering the rotational effect of the principal blades. Due to this power, the helicopter would like to go to the still left all the time. If you appear at a helicopter hovering in the air, you will discover it truly is leaning to the proper just slightly. This is to counter the force offered off by the tail rotor. It truly is negative enough when you are using off from just skids, but when you have training gear on your helicopter, then it truly tends to make it want to go to the still left. As you are spooling the helicopter up and it’s finding light on the skids, make positive to be ready to give it some appropriate cyclic (right adhere) to counter this. Do not abandon the ground just but. It is

Sometimes, the training gear hurts more than help. Gives false take off “level” stability. Harmonic oscillation of the ball and stick. Don’t be afraid to dump the training gear. Don’t be afraid of being “assertive/rough” with landing the helicopter. You can actually “smash” it down, and also at less than 5 ft you can just hit throttle hold and it will land itself. Big thing about training is you just fly over one? spot, don’t be tempted by “boredom” to fly all over the place.

very good video series. I wonder if this is the last? one?

Just before I did this video, i lowered the deck on my mower as low as it would go and scalped my yard, hence why there are so many dirt areas. I suggest that you do it on concrete or asphalt, but you can do it on grass if you have to. Take some duct tape and put around the end of the spar coming out of the ball on your training gear. This? should allow it to move a little easier across the grass. Hit me up on our forum, and I can walk you step by step in the chat.

Tony, I have a blade 450 3d and learning to hover, I am a complete newbie to RC helis. When I try to do the practices in my backyard, I noticed the training gear? getting stuck and almost making the heli to turn over. How can I make this work? I am guessing your grass was very short? or can it be the type of grass I have?

I was forced to go into my wooden floors inside my house but the floor was too sleepery like ice and the heli was moving too fast. I think I need to go outdoors

    Thanks

Shouldn’t have removed this one, it was a great comment. I did do this video on grass, and it should be done on concrete or asphalt, but this is all I have around for miles. So, I just scalped my yard so the helicopter would slide around. If you have the option, do this? on a driveway, or parking lot. It will be MUCH easier.

Thanks for helping out! Much appriciated!?

  • RcHelpDotCom:

Exactly what Jolly said,? Cyclic Collective Pitch Mixing.

  • RcHelpDotCom:

Thanks Jolly. I will be doing more when? I get the new helicopter built.

  • RcHelpDotCom:

    Thanks.?

LOL why? wont mine fly like that 🙁

  • azazazazazaz45:

First of all, the helicopter rotor broke off during 2 days,? second of all the battery is shit, third the helicopter is only allowed to fly INSIDE. And that is why i’m currently dismantling it to make a better homemade helicopter.

  • SKMatoBB:
