RC Helicopter Flight School Lesson 1 part 2

www.iheartheli.com Why does the helicopter want to slide to the left? Why does it lean to the right when in a perfect hover? Here’s the link to Madeline Adam’s great music site! http

here is the first lesson that should help you learn to fly your rc heli , it is dependant on you having already mastered the “hover” its split into 3 exercises Exercise1 – follow the dog -take your heli for a long walk ,use the whole battery, this will get you used to using forward stick ,find a nice big field and take a longer walk than i did in the video. Exercise2 – get some altitude – send the heli straight up ,you can get 10-20-30 feet , stay up there ,then bring it down ,one point to remember is that to level off into a hover from a decent will need more throttle than you might expect Exercise3 – this is where you will tie the first 2 exercises together ,to be able to send the heli away and then bring it back “tail in” ,you will need this skill ,as its a safety precaution so that when you start to do proper manouvers you can always abort whatever you were trying to do and bring it back to land safely. the next few lessons will show how to build up to being able to do a “figure of 8” please subscribe rate and comment

First, Koodos! for having the Nerve to make these videos, and there is some useful info.
Second, Learn you Theory (eg, the reason that you need a tail rotor is NOT because the blades on one side are causing drag and “cutting” the air, it ALL has to do with Torsional Force Caused by the Spin of the blades).
PLEASE! If you are going to try to teach me how to Fly my heli, Know what you are talking about. I would watch but I lost confidence in your abilities with the errors in information. 🙁

    Thanks for these!
Good advice, buy now what you’ll want in a year. I’ve got a 3ch coax (Syma S107) that’s a blast for hopping around the house, but eventually I want a 50-scale electric. Don’t need/want 3D. Probably would do a Hughes 500 w/5-blade rotor head or a nice Bell 222 (Airwolf). What do you recommend?

@MasterTubing cool ,stick with it ,if and when you upgrade to a 6 ch ,they are great fun to buzz around!

  • MasterTubing:

@shakeythumbs Yes I do, I have a 4 channel fixed pitch single rotor but I’m not the best rc heli pilot, lol. I also have a few co-axial micro indoor ones which I’m a bit better at. My problem is that I don’t have much time to practice outdoor flying, I’ve only ever crashed once though on a 2 channel crapppy one which pretty much destroyed it but never crashed the 4 channel, mind you I”ve never tried anything elaborate with it, just very basic hovering and a few circles, lol.

  • shakeythumbs:

@MasterTubing cheers ,you got a heli?

  • MasterTubing:

    These are quite helpful exercises.

    Good video, keep it up.

Okay thanks alot for this info!
But whats the differents between the blades?

  • shakeythumbs:

hi belt cp is a good heli ,
youll soon learn about the common breakables! youll get multiple lessons! youll need a pair of box spanners, an allen spanner and a pitch gauge- try ebay
i would upgrade the servos to
tower pro sg90 and get some
align 325 wooden blades and thats really all you need to do ,

  • 0TOM007:

    Thanks for this!
I’m saving up for one right now but this shew my that it also looks like it flys pretty good,
Have you got any recomendations for this heli? spare parts, things that always brake?
Thanks Again and i cant wait for lesson 2!
