    my friend was selling up so i was very fortunate to buy his Trex 450 SE V2 at a reduced price and although i’ve never flown CP heli’s it was too good to pass up.

    So I bought a 4ch FP heli to learn on.

    What radio setup do you have so you fly FPV with distance as I am only flying by sight? at the moment, so rather short range.

    My Trex came with a programmable 6ch transmitter but as far as i know running on 2.4ghz, and doing lots of research.

    Any advice would be great.

    I prefer flybarless for sure. I have another tutorial/review clip with flybarless setup. If your fund stretches, go for FBL. I don’t think I’d ever go back to flybar.?

    Glad I could? help. But just aware there will be change in flight characteristics cuz obviously it’s gonna be fat ass and cyclics and collectives will be sort of ‘damp’.

    Thanks for the info! I might be shopping for a bigger battery to give it a try. I was afraid the extra weight would cancel the benefit of the larger capacity, but hearing that you got increased flight time? is encouraging. 🙂

    For smaller battery I? normally set my alarm for 5mins and I’ve flown with the 4800mah battery couple times for about 12-13mins but I think I can fly up to 15mins without going lower than 3.7v for each cell. I usually use the bigger lipo for setting purpose though

    Yeah, 450 is a very good size to start with. I tried with 200 size heli before which was too twitch. I think I’m gonna stick to 450 cuz I like it’s portability (small but stable enough which is a good compromising point – that’s why I stretched to 350mm blades for extra stability within 450 size) 🙂
    I see you are planning to go for a bigger heli in the future. I guarantee you will be also interested in FPV soon or later. Let me know if? you have any help or question any time 😉

    Hehe, as you? know by know I’m rather new to this hobby 🙂 I’m a photographer and the utlimate goal is to fly around with my dSLR hanging under the helicopter. But a 450 sized heli and GoPro is a really good start.

    Dude, thank you! I figured that something seems to be wrong or uneven with one of my blades, so by adding some tape to one? of the blades near the head the jello effect was 100% fixed. I would never think of this if it was not for you, so thank you again 🙂

    No problem 🙂 Just to let you know if it’s fuzzy, you can work around head speed. But if it’s wobbling (jello), you need to reduce the total heli vibration.? Try to locate the vibration by adding bits one by one and spool up – for example, only main shaft and spool up (of course with no blades), if no vibration then add tail hub, if no vibration then add tail blades and so on. You need to have minimal vibration before mounting the Gopro, otherwise no matter, what you will get jello
