ESKY HONEY BEE V2 FP RC HELICOPTER LEARNING TO FLY GoPro HD

I’ve had the honey bee for a few weeks now and i think i’m finally getting somewhere. I probably look a bit rubbish to others but believe me, i couldn’t get it of the ground to start with, its more difficult than i thought it would be. There’s not much more i can do in my room so will have to take the plunge and finally get the bee outside.

@mitch millard can you upload a video of you flying and then i might be able to help, its just hard to fully understand your idea of unstable without seing it.?

  • mitch millard:

Hi mate i got it going in the end i put the spare blades on and its totally differant, at last it hovers but i do find it hard to control it just end up costing money all the time (rod rings, canopy etc.) the walkera is lovely and stable i dont suppose you,ve any tips on making it more stable,(the honeybee that is) i always have the swash plate level and make sure the blades are trimmed,by the way i appreciate the time you,ve taken to help me out by answering my questions so thanxs mate. ?

  • mitch millard:

you had a transmitter prob aswell sounds about right i,ll prob ged rid of mine especially when compared to the walkera buzzflyer are overpriced and the woman who takes the calls has abad attitude when you tell her something doesnt work "well their all flown before they leave" how did you do that when the transmitter doesnt work, when your buying really helpfull dont want to know when things are faulty. Anway thanks for the advise and have a happy new year friend.

@mitch millard I've not got the bee anymore as there was always something going faulty, i also had to get a new transmitter, i got most my parts from kooltoyz on ebay or miraclemart because i think buzzflyer are overpriced..?

  • mitch millard:

ive taken the blades off and turned them around and got a bit of a hover thinking about what you said about blades going in wrong direction which they werent but did that anyway that seems strange but seems to work i wont play around with it again to night as thats all ive been doing for last three days but thanks. do you buy your stuff from buzzflyer ive had to send the first transmitter back and my first walkera was faulty along with chargers and batterys THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.?

  • RCHELIBUG:

@mitch millard Yeah im sure you will get to the bottom of it, id like to help but without having the heli in front of me its impossible to tell what the problem is?

  • mitch millard:

thanks for repling yeah ive had it for acouple of weeks and it was fine and then took it outdoors broke a blade and cant take off ever since. I am fairly new to rc helis ive got a walkera master cp iys nice bit to powerful though servos are rubbish but yeah check swash plate and flybar etc but its got to be when i took the flybar paddles off to put on some push rod rings. Anyway thank you for your kind help and watch this space i will sort it.?

  • RCHELIBUG:

@mitch millard Yeah but it was just my nerves why i struggled to get it off the ground at first not a problem with the heli, like i said it should takeoff around half throttle so if it wont even at full throttle somethings wrong with the heli not you. is it set up right? are main motor and tail motor plugged in correct port?servo arms level?swashplate level?flybar level?blades spinning correct direction??

  • mitch millard:

Its brand new, it seems to have full power but just no take off. Cause you said you couldnt get it off the ground to start with i thought you might know what i was doing wrong. Ive got a spare battery just no lift off at all.?

  • RCHELIBUG:

@mitch millard Are you using a new or used bee? if used it could need a new battery or motor, the stock motors dont always last very long.?

  • mitch millard:

Hi again even with full throttle mine does,nt want to take off played around with trims i must be doing something wrong any suggestions.?

  • RCHELIBUG:

@mitch millard The ground affect you get from the main rotor when low to the ground will make it unstable, so of your like me when i first started and just getting it a few inch off the ground then panicing you jusy need to ho for it, punch the throttle a bit to clear the ground quickly upto 3or4 feet and you will find it much more stable and easier to control, its just about getting over the nerves and just get it up there. Good luck?

  • RCHELIBUG:

@mitch millard Yeah all helis have a tendency to bare left on takeoff, i think its something to do with the tail rotor .?

  • mitch millard:

well done i"ve got this heli 2 weeks ago cant seem to get mine off the ground any tips. ps mine has the tendency to bare off to the left. nice hovering good for you.?

  • RCHELIBUG:

@rednexRC Yeah, i've got better since this vid, tail-in i can do with my eyes closed i just forget to bank when i turn so i end up crashing but i'l get there, i just don't get out as much as i'd like and when i do i tend to fly my flybarless century evo 180 se because its much easier than the Bee.?

  • Troy Hunt:

it took me 2 months before i could fly a fixed pitch really good?

  • RCHELIBUG:

@dvdouden Thanks mate, like you say, i'm ok with stock blades indoors, i'm just after a bit more stability outdoors so i think the superblades ez are best for me while learning then i can get some wooden blades when crashing is less likely.?

  • dvdouden:

    @RCHELIBUG
I'm sure you can run Xtreme Fiber on a stock Bee, but I wouldn't recommend it. Heavier blades cause the motor to draw more amps (which might fry your 4-in-1, happens a lot, a CP3 3-in-1 can handle it), heat up more and wear out faster. X380 or CP3 motors will work fine, but the 8T pinion of the CP3 motor is required.

If you want more info, there's plenty at HeliFreak > R/C Helicopter Support > E-Sky Helicopters > HBFP V1/V2 or any other rc heli forum ;-)?
